Mumbai Police arrests a man for printing fake currency notes

Mumbai Police's Crime Intelligence Unit (CIU) busted an Indian banknote printing facory in the Pydhonie neighbourhood of Mumbai on Wednesday, November 24, and detained a 47-year-old man, according to Mumbai Police.

The arrested guy has been identified as Shabbir Hasan Qureshi. The factory also yielded Rs 1,60,000 in counterfeit notes and 53 bogus Rs 2,000 notes, according to the police. Shabbir's house also had a computer printer and other materials needed to make counterfeit money, according to the authorities.

"The culprit was printing notes at his home, and he has been printing these notes for several days and has distributed them in various marketplaces throughout Mumbai," police added.

The offender was apprehended by the Pydhonie Police Station, and his accomplice is being sought. Today, Shabbir will be brought before the court. More investigation is being carried out.
