Mumbai rain LIVE updates: As heavy downpour keep on lashing Mumbai, the normal life has come to rust in the financial capital of India.

 Worth mention here Schools and colleges are closed for a second consecutive day as the weather predictions reported a heavy downpour in the next 24 hours.

India Meteorological Department (IMD) warned that Mumbai witnessed heavy rainfall in the past three days. Rain has disrupted a number of local public services.

Due to heavy rains and water logging at Nalasopara all Out Station Trains arriving Mumbai Western Railway are indefinitely late to arrive in Mumbai.

In very last 24 hours till 8:30 AM today, Mumbai city has received 165.8 mm of rain while Mumbai Suburb has received 184.3 mm of rain as Times now reported.

This heavy downpour, claimed 35 people till now while 36 have been injured since June 1. Six people were taken life due to tree collapse, 19 because of drowning and three have died due to electrocution. It is noted that One has died due to Andheri bridge collapse. More than 950 trees fell since the start of June.

B-town actress and model Diana Penty was also trapped in the rains in Dadar. She wrote a Tweet: "Hmmm...so Dadar is definitely avoidable today. Stay safe peeps. #MumbaiRains"
