Mumbai: Heavy rain is likely to occur in several parts of Maharashtra including Mumbai today. In fact, the Met department has recently issued an alert for heavy rain. Let us tell you all that Madhya Maharashtra and Vidarbha have been warned of more rain. According to reports, rain has started in Madhya Maharashtra including Vidarbha, Marathwada since yesterday. A yellow alert has been sounded for Mumbai, Thane, Palghar, Raigad, Nashik, Aurangabad, Dhule, Nandurbar, Jalgaon, Jalna, Buldhana, Washim, Wardha and Chandrapur districts.

At the same time, let us also tell you that according to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), the city of Mumbai received 32.5 mm rainfall from 8 am to 2 pm last Wednesday. The eastern suburbs recorded 12.72 mm rainfall and the western suburbs recorded 17.0 mm rainfall. On the other hand, KS Hoslikar, Deputy Director General, IMD, Mumbai, says, "The forecast shows light to heavy rainfall in Maharashtra, especially in parts of North Konkan, north Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada and Vidarbha. Weathermen say that good rainfall is likely to occur in the last 10 days of this month and the shortage of rainfall in the capital has been met.

With this, IMD has issued an orange alert for moderate rains in the national capital with the monsoon knocking again in northwest India. It is said that the maximum temperature will come down to 32 degree Celsius in three to four days due to rain. Delhi, however, normally receives 247.7 mm rainfall in the month of August. But The IMD had predicted normal rainfall in Delhi this month.
