Mumbai: Sero survey found that Bhiwandi and Thane have the highest positivity rate of antibodies test. 5485 people were tested in Mumbai, out of which 1,501 people, ie 27.3% have been found to have anti-corona virus. The serosurvey in Mumbai said that 57 percent of the population living in slums of three-body wards and 16 percent of the people living in slums have developed anti-herd immunity.

This indicates that more people have already been infected with the virus than official figures of the corona epidemic. BMC said that this result is important in getting more information about herd immunity. BMC said that there will be a second survey in this regard, which will check whether the spread of the virus and its Heard immunity has developed. This sero survey has been done jointly by NITI Aayog, BMC and Tata Institute of Fundamental Research.

When the coronavirus epidemic began to spread from China to the rest of the world, the United Kingdom was in favour of developing herd immunity. One strategy was to allow 60 percent of the population to be corona positive so as to obtain herd immunity. However, this was later rejected. Now Spain's data clearly shows that only 5% of the population in a country with community transmission has developed antibodies.
