Mumbai: Mumbai, the country's economic capital, is reeling under rain these days. Let us tell all of you that it will now remain in the third category of the Maharashtra Government's plan to reduce the restrictions imposed in view of corona virus infection till further orders. In fact, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) says that the guidelines issued on 5th June, 2021 will still remain in force in Mumbai in view of the difficulties being faced in implementing the Covid-19 rules.

At the same time, let us also inform you that the corona infection rate in Mumbai has come down to 4.40 per cent, while hospitals have about 27.12 per cent of patients in oxygen-rich beds. Due to this, Mumbai can be kept under Category-II restrictions as per the norms laid down by the State Government. Further, BMC has decided to keep Mumbai under Category-3 restrictions keeping in view the size and population density of Mumbai and the number of people coming from other areas in large numbers.

You must be aware that under category-3 restrictions, shops with essential commodities and non-essential commodities will be allowed to open by 4 p.m. But malls, cinemas and multiplexes will still remain closed.
