Orange alert for Mumbai: Warning of “extremely heavy rain at isolated places”

Mumbai: Mumbai has started raining since morning. According to the information received, Palghar, Thane, Mumbai, Raigad, Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg are receiving heavy rain. On the other hand, the Met department has said that the orange alert of rain will continue throughout the day today. In fact, in the very first monsoon rains, Mumbai's conditions were bad. Meanwhile, water logging is still feared in many areas.

There is also a high tide alert in Mumbai amidst rain. The high tide is likely to arrive in Mumbai at 12.54 pm today i.e. Not only this, 15 teams of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) have been deployed in different parts in view of the heavy rainfall forecast in parts of Maharashtra. Recently, Director General, NDRF, S N Pradhan tweeted that 4 teams have been deployed at Ratnagiri, 2 each in Mumbai, Sindhudurg, Palghar, Raigad and Thane and one team at Kurla.

Many areas have been submerged due to the very first rain. The incessant rain in Mumbai's Mahim area has created a water logging problem. The Met department is said to have received 23.4 mm rainfall in Colab in Maharashtra and 107.4 mm in Santa Cruz during the last 24 hours.
