An 11th class student Shubham Srivastava (17) was stabbed to death in a dispute over photographing a girl in Patel Nagar area on Tuesday evening. Two persons, including the girl's old friend, were injured in the incident and have been admitted to Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital. According to the police, "he lives in Prem Nagar area of Anand Mountain, Whereis, was out for tuition at 7 p.m. on Tuesday. About an hour later, the family received information that some youths had stabbed him near the Rock Garden. He has been admitted to BLK Hospital. When the family arrived at the hospital, it was revealed that he had died due to multiple stabs blows to his chest. After the information received from the hospital, the police investigated and found that Shubham was attacked by three minors. CCTV footage has identified the three residents of Ranjit Nagar. All are minors.'"

Speaking further in the case, the police said, "A friend of the Shubham had friendship with the girl. A few days ago, the girl befriended another boy and on Tuesday night Shubham was going with his friend and another. He photographed the girl with a new friend and protested against the girl's new friend, both sides said. After that Shubham's friends thrashed the girl's friend. Then the two sides re-faced near the Rock Garden, where they stabbed Shubham and his two friends with a knife and fled," he said.

On the other hand, Shubham's father Rajendra Srivastava said, "His son was good in studies. He studied at a government school and went to Gautam Coaching Centre to take up a class of Business Studies.
