Murmu to launch Presidential campaign in UP on July 8

LUCKNOW:  The National Democratic Alliance's (NDA) presidential candidate Draupadi Murmu  will visit Lucknow on July 8 in a bid to win over voters in the nation's largest state.

Sources claim that Draupadi Murmu will visit Uttar Prdesh to meet with BJP MLAs and MPs and allies. She would also look for backing from non-BJP parties in addition to this.  Uttar Pradesh, the largest province in the nation, will be key role  in the presidential election.

One MLA vote is worth 208, while one MP vote is worth 700. 66 Lok Sabha and 25 Rajya Sabha MPs, 273 MLAs from the BJP and its allies, and approximately 1.21 lakh votes total.

Uttar Pradesh, therefore, has 14.88 percent of the total votes of 10,86,431 people's representatives across the country.

Draupadi Murmu, a former governor of Jharkhand and tribal leader, has been proposed by the NDA. Yashwant Sinha, a former Union Minister and head of the Trinamool party, has been proposed by the opposition.
