Muslim Clerics Urge to Withdraw Triple Talaq Bill

On Monday Muslim Clerics stand with the All India Muslim Personal Law Board's (AIMPLB) ask the Centre to pull back and withhold the Triple Talaq bill stating that the law provisionally made has the alternative which needs to be discussed.

"The All India Muslim Personal Law Board's(AIMPLB) is correct in their requirement; the bill should be withdrawn. It has many ways out. First and front, the punishment of three years for an offender is not justified. When the man is in jail, what will his wife do? Who will take care of her expenses? The All India Muslim Personal Law Board is right, the bill impact women forceful. Further, the cleric accused the Centre of indulging in vote bank politics and added that the law has not taken the religious norms into consideration.

Another Muslim cleric, Iqbal Ansari, speak up that the laws that are made should be in the sake of the nation as a whole, and should not harm any particular religious community.

"The laws that were created until now were for the goodness of Indians on the whole. They should not hurt or hurt any community but benefit the larger section of society. The Centre should rethink its decision," he said.Previously on Sunday, the All India Muslim Personal Law Board urge the Central Government to pull back and withhold the triple talaq bill.

While speaking at the press briefing in Lucknow, AIMPLB's Sajjad Nomani accused the Centre of not following the laid procedure in drafting the bill.

The body also claimed the bill was against women and children, and if implemented, would destroy many families.
