Muslim fundamentalists attack Sikh leader's family in Nankana Sahib, condition of two sons critical

Islamabad: Former Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (PSGPC) chief and Sikh leader Mastan Singh along with his family have also been attacked in Nankana Sahib. In which his two sons were reported to be seriously injured. The attack took place on the night of April 19, 2022. Journalist Aditya Raj Kaul tweeted, "The family of Pakistani minority Sikh leader Sardar Mastan Singh was brutally attacked by local Muslims in Nankana Sahib, Pakistan. The two sons Dilawar Singh and Palla Singh were brutally beaten up by Islamic fundamentalists. Who's visiting Pakistan condemns it?''

Pakistan journalist Zafar Basir tweeted, "The family of former PSGPC chief S Mastan Singh was attacked by local Muslims in Nankana Sahib, Pakistan last night. His sons Dilawar Singh and Palla Singh have been brutally beaten up. There has been no hearing by Nankana sahib police, he is fighting a battle of life and death at the government hospital in Nankana Sahib.''

Media reports quoted Dilawar Singh, son of Mastan Singh, as saying that Azadi slogans are being raised in Pakistan. But, there is no freedom for Sikhs here, no security, and no protection for minorities for which there are deadly attacks on Sikh-Hindu families every day in Pakistan.
