Muslim man donated land to build Jain saint's samadhi

Neemuch: Jain saint Shri Shantisagar Ji Maharaj passed away in Singoli town of Neemuch town of Madhya Pradesh. After which he was to be cremated according to the custom of the society. The place selected for the samadhi due to its direction was that of Ashraf Mew, a Muslim man, the former city council president of Singoli. People from the Jain community reached Ashraf Mew's house at around 2:30 pm with an offer of lakhs of rupees to buy his land.

The same Ashraf Mew turned down the offer of money saying that it is Allah's command that if the samadhi of the Jain saint should be built on my land, then take as much space as you want for it and reach with the community at the place of building the samadhi site at night itself and donated the necessary land. Then, Ashraf Mew began to be praised everywhere.

In the ashram of the same big politicians and social workers, he started getting calls and his good work was appreciated by all. He received calls from Digvijay Singh to cabinet minister Om Prakash Saklecha and various people. On Sunday, Om Prakash Saklecha, Minister of Small Scale Industries in the MP government, congratulated Ashraf Mew in the presence of Jain community members and praised the noble work and described it as an example of communal unity.
