Islamabad: Effective Muslim countries of the world have bluntly told Pakistan to abandon the path of rhetorical statements and start backdoor diplomacy with India. Along with this, Pakistan PM Imran Khan has also been advised to refrain from making harsh statements against India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi and keep the tone down during the talks to reduce the deepening tension between the two countries on the Kashmir issue.

According to Jagran.com, the report said that Saudi Arabia's Former Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir and United Arab Emirates (UAE) Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Al-Nahyan visited Islamabad on September 3, according to the report. With the leadership of their respective countries, the message of some other powerful Muslim countries was handed over to Pakistan PM Imran Khan. Both the above leaders had explicitly told Imran Khas to initiate back door diplomacy with India.

Adel al-Jubeir and Abdullah bin Al-Nahyan met Imran Khan as well as Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa. Quoting a top official source, the newspaper has written that the talks between the leaders were highly confidential. In this meeting, only the top officials of Pakistan's Foreign Ministry were allowed.
