Muzaffarnagar: The Kanwar Yatra of the devotees of Lord Shiva continues in the holy month of Sawan. The Kanwadis coming from Haridwar to Delhi or Haryana pass through several Muslim dominated areas, including Purkaji, Chhapar, Sarwat in Muzaffarnagar district, where this time the Muslim community is camping and serving the devotees.
A medical camp has been set up at Medina Chowk in Muzaffarnagar where a team of doctors is deployed and several other service personnel are also present to prevent the devotees from facing any problems. Kamar Intikhab, a social worker who runs the camp set up in the service of The Lean Shivbhaks in the devotion of Mahadev, says that since the Muzaffarnagar riots, the city had been in a state of hatred. We realized that serving the devotees involved in the Kavad Yatra to defeat this hatred is the most spectacular step.
He said, "We have been doing this for the last several years and make efforts to serve the devotees of Shiva with all sincerity. Shiv Bhaktas who are involved in the Kavad Yatra are also happy with this service. He believes that such efforts enhance mutual brotherhood and that is the culture of our country.
