Varanasi: An important hearing was held on Thursday on the disputed Gyanvapi campus case. There was a heated argument between the Hindu and the Muslim side, which lasted for about two hours. The Hindu side claimed that the Shivling was tampered with here. At the same time, the Muslim side demanded the dismissal of the case of the Hindu side through five points. On Thursday, the Varanasi court had to consider two issues. First- Is the Shringar Gauri case worth hearing or not? Second- Is the demand of the Hindu side against the 1991 Act?
On Thursday, the Hindu side again strongly raised its claim of Shivling, alleging that the 'Shivling' found in the Gyanvapi Masjid has been tampered with by the Muslim side. According to the Hindu side, the Shivling was desecrated. The Hindu side said in the court that the figure was deliberately drilled with a drill machine to make a 63 cm hole, meaning there was a conspiracy to make the Shivling a fountain.
Vishnu Shankar Jain, counsel for the Hindu side, said that the commission report clearly states that there was a Hindu temple and a Shivling has been found. When Shivling is present, it becomes clear from this who changed the religious nature. Meaning the Muslim side is alleging that efforts are being made to change the look of the mosque, but on the pretext of Shivling, the Hindu side retaliated saying that the Muslim side has changed the look of the temple.
