Hyderabad: A Muslim female devotee named Afsara performed 'Kode Mokku' in Vemulwara Raja Rajeshwari Shiva Mandi, introducing communal harmony in society. The pledge of donating a cow calf to the temple of Lord Shiva is called 'Kode Mokku'. Afsara completed the work of the temple and the cow calf to the temple.

A Muslim woman belongs to Mantam in Pedapalli district of Telangana. The temple officials said that the Muslim woman performed 'Kode Mokku' for the first time in the history of the temple. She had requested to visit the Sri Raja Rajeshwara Swamy temple for several days and now her wish has been fulfilled, the official said.

Sri Raja Rajeswara Swamy Temple in Vemulawada is one of the most popular temples in Telangana state. Hundreds of devotees visit Vemulawada and worship Lord Shiva. Devotees come to the temple on Shivaratri.

Vemulawada Telangana is 36 km west of Karimnagar city and 155 km northeast from Hyderabad city. Telangana and Andhra Pradesh people visit Vemulawada and it is one of the most popular Shiva kshetras in South India. Many devotees are 'kode konku' (devotees wander around the temple with a cow calf and then tie the pillar in front of the temple). It is offered as a nivedhana to God.
