The hearing has been postponed in the famous girl child case of Muzaffarpur. This decision has been taken by the Saket Court of Delhi. Because the judges concerned are on leave. Today 19 convicts including Brijesh Thakapar were to be sentenced. Additional Sessions Judge of Dalal Saurabh Kulshrestha was to be heard on the point of conviction. All the convicts are currently lodged in Tihar Jail.

According to the media report, earlier in the hearing held on January 20, the court had found the culprits guilty of serious sexual assault and gang-rape under the Poxo Act. Earlier on March 30, 2019, the court had framed charges against Brijesh Thakur and others for criminal conspiracy to commit rape and sexual exploitation of minors. Was prosecuted under The court had convicted Brijesh and the girl child employees as well as officials of the social welfare department of the government for failing to give information about criminal conspiracy, negligence in duty and harassment.
