Richa Chadha is one of the most renowned faces in Bollywood. The actress is very vocal on different issues. Her recent tweet sparked controversy. The actress re-shared a tweet of the Indian Army. Recently, a statement was made by the Indian Army's Northern Command's commander-in-chief that they are ready to retake Pakistan-occupied Kashmir if the government issues such an order. As per the tweet, "We r fully prepared to take back PoK from Pakistan. We r waiting the orders from the govt. We will complete the operation quickly. Before that if Pakistan is violating ceasefire, the answer will be different, even they can not imagine - Commanding-in-Chief Northern Command IA." Richa re-shared and captioned it, "Galwan says hi".

As soon as it caught the  eyes of people they started commenting on it. One netizen wrote, "Galwan says hi" writes Richa Chadha in response to a statement by a commanding officer on POK. Disrespecting those who gave their lives for India. Mocking the Indian army. She proves once again there is no limit to how low this industry can sink. A boycott is all they are worth." Shiv Sena spokesperson (Uddhav faction) Anand Dubey demanded Maharashtra CM Ekanth Shinde and Home Minister Amit Shah to take stringent actions against 'anti-national' tweet of the actor. BJP leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa termed the tweet 'disgraceful' and said, "Disgraceful Tweet. Should be withdrawn at the earliest. Insulting our armed forces is not justified.

Richa Chadha Apology

Now the actress took to the social media to apologize. The actress wrote, "Even though it can never be my intention in the least, if the 3 words which are being dragged into a controversy have offended or hurt anyone, I apologise and also say that it would sadden me if even unintentionally my words have triggered this feeling in my brothers in the fauj (army) of which my own Nanaji has been an illustrious part,"

She further added, "My Mamaji was a paratrooper. It's in my blood. A whole family is affected when a son is martyred or even injured while saving the nation which is made up of people like us and I personally know how it feels. It is an emotive issue for me."
