It can only be felt in the eyes of her dad, in the smile of your brother and in the hug of your mother.
The moment when the girl get dressed as a bride, all the rituals and ceremonies start making sense. And, one such Hindu ceremony is Kanyadaan. Kanyadaan is a popular Hindu ritual in which the father gives away his daughter in marriage to the groom. It means that he had gifted his daughter to the groom as a part of his parental duty. And, this ritual alone can evoke millions of emotions in every girl's mind. While no one has ever debated about this wedding ceremony, there is a father in Kolkata that made a difference by refusing to do the kanyadaan.
In a recent incident the post, shared by Twitter user Asmita Ghosh, has collected over 2,300 'likes' and a ton of comments praising their "progressive" outlook.
