'MY hospital' of Indore will broadcast live surgery for students

Central India’s biggest state Health institute – MY Hospital soon start broadcasting live surgery from operation theater to auditorium thus providing them easy and efficient training.

“The project will help up-gradation of educational system and policy, making the system high tech.” Dr. VS Pal said, the superintendent.

PWD is planning to setup the equipment for broadcasting live. It will cost RS.5 lakh. At present students are assisted in small batches to assist in surgery. After the development of this new technique in association around 50 students can be trained simultaneously.

Dr Pal said “many of the times students are not aware on the complications which arise during operation. The Purpose of live telecast is basically to make students aware of complications." Doctors will narrate the operation using microphone to the students.
