You may have read or heard about many forts till date, but today we are going to tell you about a fort that you will be surprised to learn about. The fort is in Pakistan and is known as the world's largest fort. Well, the fort we are talking about is Ranikot Fort. It is also known as the 'Wall of Sindh'. The fort is spread over a radius of 32 km and is considered to be the largest fort in the world. Let us also tell you that this fort is included in UNESCO's temporary list of World Heritage Sites.

In fact, in 1993, it was nominated by pakistan's National Commission for UNESCO for world heritage site status. You will also be surprised to know that the wall of this fort is compared to the Chinese wall, which is 6400 kilometres long. In fact, there are many things about the construction of this fort in Pakistan. Some says that the fort was built in the early 20th century, and some say that the fort was built in 836 by Imran Bin Musa Bermki, the Governor of Sindh, but no one really knows who built it and why.

Let us also tell you that there are four gates to enter Ranikot Fort. Which are called San Gate, Amri Gate, Shah-Perry Gate and Mohan Gate. In fact, there is another small fort inside this fort, known as the Miri Fort. Let us tell you that the existing structure of this fort was constructed by Mir Ali Khan Talpur and his brother Mir Murad Ali in the year 1812.
