Na samjho gay toh mitjaouge aye Hindustan walo: Mehbooba Mufti on Article 370 Applicability

Srinagar: Hours after a plea was filed in the Delhi High Court to ban her and National Conference leaders Omar Abdullah and Farooq Abdullah from contesting the upcoming polls, People's Democratic Party chief Mehbooba Mufti tweeted that it was not necessary as when the BJP will scrap the Article 370, she and the other leaders will automatically be debarred from contesting as she claimed the Indian constitution will not apply to Jammu and Kashmir. Here it is to be noted that reacting to a news report on the aforementioned petition in Delhi HC Mehbooba tweeted, "Why waste time in court. Wait for BJP to scrap Article 370. It will automatically debar us from fighting elections since Indian constitution won’t be applicable to J&K anymore.

Na samjho gay tou mitjaouge aye Hindustan walo. Tumhari dastaan tak bhi na hogi dastaano main."

To be noted that earlier in the day, a lawyer Sanjjiiv Kkumaar alleging that "seditious and communal statements" were given by the three leaders filed a plea in Delhi HC demanding a ban on their entry into the Lok Sabha. Iti s to be noted that this has come on the heels of a politically heated atmosphere in the nation and especially in Jammu and Kashmir on the issue of Article 370 and 35A. Today, the BJP released its sankalp patra and reiterated its promise to abrogate both the articles if voted to power.

However, it is worth mention here that reacting to the BJP's promise, NC chairman Farooq Abdullah said that it will pave the way for azadi for people of Jammu and Kashmir. "Do they think they will abrogate Article 370 and we will be quiet? They are wrong. We will fight it. I think it is Allah's will that they are trying to abrogate it. Let them do it and it will pave way for our azadi."   Terming the Article 370 as an "obstacle" in the development of the state, the BJP said that it'll repeal the articles as it was "discriminatory to the non-permanent residents." While on the other hand, Congress has promised to maintain the status quo on the matter.
