US Open~ Nadal reaches to semi-final after defeating Rublev

In the match at the Arthur Ashe Stadium, the player 31-year-old Rafael Nadal defeated  19-year-old Russian teenager Andrey Rublev to set up a possible the U.S. Open semi-final against Roger Federer.

The 31-year-old swept 19-year-old Rublev by 6-1 6-2 6-2 in a match that lasted for one hour and 37 minutes. If the  Roger Federer defeats  Juan Martin del Potro then Nadal will face Federer for the first time in New York. Federer and the currently ranked world no.1  in men's singles Nadal have never met at the US Open.

Nadal has won 16 Grand Slam singles titles, the 2008 Olympic gold medal in singles, an all-time record of 30 ATP World Tour Masters 1000 titles, tied with Novak Djokovic.​ He became the seventh male player in history and youngest of five in the Open Era to achieve the Career Grand Slam at age 24. ​
