Kohima: The Nationalist Socialist Council of Nagaland (NSCN Isak-Muiwah) is the first Naga organization with which the Central Government has initiated peace talks. The organization has written to PM Narendra Modi. It says that the trouble of the Naga peace process cannot be a respectable solution unless a separate flag and a constitution is formed.

The NSCN (I-M) says the 22-year peace process received official recognition of nagas' unique history and status when the Framework Agreement was signed on August 3, 2015. Though the organization maintains that three years have passed since the Framework Agreement was signed, no progress has been made.

"The Indian government is taking slow steps on important issues. Due to the changing situation and other developments, NSCN Chairman Q Tuccu and General Secretary TH Muiwah have written to PM Narendra Modi. To explain the doubts and confusions of the Naga people and to arrive at a respectable political resolution. "This letter refers to key issues like the Naga flag and the Constitution on which both sides are yet to agree.
