Nagaland: Suspected NSCN rebel held with arms in Dimapur

In a joint operation. Assam Rifles and Nagaland police on Monday nabbed the militant with arms near Sixth Mile in Dimapur. Acting on the input, security forces along with police launched an operation, resulting in the apprehension of the one-armed cadre.

According to the report, Security forces in Nagaland have apprehended a suspected cadre of militant outfit NSCN (KY) in Dimapur. Army said, One point 32 mm pistol with the magazine was found on him. The cadre has been handed over to Chumukedima police station for further investigation.

Earlier, three days ago Security forces in a joint operation apprehended Self-Styled Corporal, Denial Lotha, a key member of the NSCN-U, from the outskirts of Namrup town in Assam on Sunday. The cadre was actively involved in Recruitment and Extortion activities of the outfit and operated in and around the Arunachal-Nagaland border areas. Weapons and live ammunition were also recovered from the cadre. The apprehended insurgent and recovered items were later handed over to the Namrup Police.
