Nagpur: Around 12 people from 2 families who reached Chhindwara in Madhya Pradesh for a picnic from Nagpur in Maharashtra were suddenly trapped in the flood. The two families were reportedly having fun in Ghoghra waterfall but in the meantime suddenly water came in and both the families were trapped on the island. All of them have been rescued safely after a rescue operation late last Tuesday night. According to the information revealed, there was very little water in the waterfall till noon, but after 3 p.m., the water suddenly increased. Because of this, everyone enjoying there got stuck.
Meanwhile, people in the vicinity informed the police about the case after shouting. Meanwhile, as soon as the administration came to know about the matter, their team reached the spot. After that, the evacuation work was started from noon itself. Meanwhile, an attempt was made to pull everyone out with the help of a rope and everyone was evacuated at night. In fact, the villagers had no means of getting everyone out of the water. Swimmers from Pipla and Mohgaon were called to evacuate everyone from the waterfall.
In fact, in the meantime, an attempt was made to get everyone out of the rope, but the flow of water was so strong that their efforts were failed. As it was dark, the lights were first arranged and then people were evacuated. All were rescued safely till 11 pm last Tuesday and were immediately admitted to the PHC.
