Nainital: The Nainital High Court of Uttarakhand has given permission to file a case against Harish Rawat, the former CM of the state and the Congress leader. In 2016, the CBI had sought initial permission to register an FIR against Harish Rawat in the purchase and sale case of MLAs. The court said that CBI cannot be stopped from registering a case.

The court also asked the CBI to continue its investigation. The court has allowed the CBI to file a case. But the court appeared to agree with the arguments of Harish Rawat's lawyers. The army of Harish Rawat's lawyers accused the court of implicating Harish Rawat under the conspiracy. In 2016, Harish Rawat was the CM of Uttarakhand and Dr. Harak Singh Rawat was a minister in his cabinet.

Umesh Sharma and Harak Singh Rawat, the directors of a private channel, have been accused of conspiring and sting to implicate Harish Rawat. The court, after hearing everyone's favor, allowed a case to be filed against former CM and Congress leader Harish Rawat. While hearing the case, the court said that the CBI cannot be stopped from registering the case.
