Nalgonda: The body of a doctor Jayashila Reddy was recovered from an irrigation tank in Mela Duppala Palli of Nalgonda mandal on Tuesday. Nalgonda Rural SI Rajasekhara Reddy said that the police is probing the matter. Dr Reddy's body was sent to Government Hospital in Nalgonda for postmortem. Panic spread in Nalgonda after the disappearance of Dr Jayashila Reddy from his agricultural field. According to sources, his phone was switched off at 9.30 am from his agricultural area. A concerned Vinod Reddy reached the agriculture field but could not find Jayashila Reddy anywhere.

Based on the report, the rural police reached the spot and launched a search operation along with the fire department personnel. Located there, the doctor's body was found in an open well used for irrigation. It is learned that before dying, he also spoke to his mother on the phone. Dr Jayaseel Reddy is a close relative of LB Nagar MLA Sudhir Reddy. Similarly, in the tragic accident on Tuesday, a person went missing in the canal while his son's body was recovered. The incident took place in Golapalli mandal of Jagtial district when the father and son were crossing the Mallanpeta river. He was a resident of Nandipalli.

Both were washed away in the floods caused by excessive rains. The body of the boy, identified as Vishnu, has been recovered, efforts are on to trace Vishnu's father. It is known that there has been heavy rain in many districts of Telangana, due to which roads in many areas have been submerged. Roads between Jagtial-Dharmaram, Jagtial-Dharampuram, Jagtial-Pegadapalli, Raikal-Korutala, Vemulvada-Korutala were damaged and people were asked to avoid the routes.
