There have been many such incidents in history which cannot be forgotten and can be remembered in future. Today we are going to tell you about one such incident which changed the face of India and this incident made a ruler the biggest 'treacherous' in Indian history. We are talking about Mir Jafar, the Nawab of Bengal in the 18th century. Although initially he was the commander of Siraj-ud-daulah, the Nawab of Bengal, but later he cheated such that the country will rarely be forgotten.

Let me tell you that Mir Jafar is seen as the biggest example of a traitor. He had joined British officer Robert Clive in the Battle of Plassey, because he lured Mir Jafar to make him the Nawab of Bengal. This event is considered to be the beginning of the establishment of British Raj in India. Nawab Siraj-ud-Daula was killed due to Mir Jafar and the British had their feet in India. There is a haveli in Lagbag area of Murshidabad, West Bengal, which is called Mir Jafar Ki Haveli. Due to the betrayal of Mir Jafar, this mansion is called 'Namak Haram Deodhi'.

Apart from this, in the same mansion of Mir Jafar, his son Mir Meeran had ordered to kill Nawab Siraj-ud-daula. On July 1757, he was hanged in this 'Namak Haram Deodhi' and the next day his corpse was carried on an elephant and rolled across Murshidabad. Today, this deodor has become a ruin. A large number of people come here to roam and are aware of the pages of history which changed the history of India.
