Allahabad: There has been a demand to change the name of one more district after Allahabad, Faizabad in UP. Now there has been a demand to change the name of Farrukhabad in Uttar Pradesh to Panchalnagar. Regarding this, BJP MP from Farrukhabad Mukesh Rajput has also written a letter to CM Yogi Adityanath. Mukesh Rajput told in a letter to Chief Minister Yogi that the history of Farrukhabad dates back to ancient times. It is situated between 3 rivers Ganga, Ramganga, Kali river. It is rich from mythological times.

The BJP MP wrote, "At that time it was called Panchal area. This city was the capital of Panchal Pradesh. He wrote, "It was in Kampil, the capital of King Drupada, that Princess Draupadi had a Swayamvar and the army of King Drupada lived in the city of Chhawni. Today, there are two big regiments, one is Rajput and the other is Sikhlai regiment.''

SP MP Shafiqur Rahman Burke, on a question by the BJP leader about changing the name of Farrukhabad to Panchal Nagar, said that changing the name will not change the heart. The idea of changing the name is not right, which is the identity of the country with the old names which are old names. It's just a political move, it's not right. Earlier in Uttar Pradesh, Allahabad was renamed as Prayagraj, Faizabad as Ayodhya and Mughalsarai as Deendayal Upadhyay Nagar. In addition, the names of markets and stations have also been changed in many cities of Uttar Pradesh. There was a lot of politics about it too. The opposition parties had also attacked the BJP over the change of name.
