Renaming of 4 railway stations in the district including Pratapgarh Junction is being planned. Pratapgarh station was renamed as Maa Belhadevi Dham Pratapgarh Junction, Vishwanathganj Station as Vishwanathganj Shanidev Dham, Antu as Maa Chandraikandevi Dham Antu and Prithviganj as Airport Prithviganj by MP Sangamlal Gupta to Railway Minister. The Ministry of Railways has sought a recommendation from the State Government on this.

There are 4 stations including Pratapgarh Junction in the district which are near mythological and historical sites. It is going to have a historic airport near Maa Belhadevi Dham near Pratapgarh Junction, Maa Chandrikan Devi Dham near Antu station, Shanidev Dham near Vishwanathganj railway station and Prithviganj railway station. All the four sites are the identity of the district. People from the district as well as non-districts are reaching the historic temples to offer darshan.

To develop it as a tourism area, MP Sangamlal Gupta had sent a letter to the Railway Minister naming nearby stations as these mythological sites. The MP wrote to the Railway Minister to change the name of Pratapgarh Junction to Maa Belhadevi Dham Pratapgarh Junction, Antu Station to Maa Chandraikan Devidham Antu, Vishwanathganj Railway Station to Shanidevdham Vishwanathganj and Prithviganj Station to Airport Prithviganj.

Railways have initiated an inquiry into the matter after receiving a letter from the MP. The Ministry of Railways is seeking the concurrence of the State Government for the same. Mp Sangamlal Gupta said that the name of the municipal council is Belha along with the Dham of the presiding goddess Mother Belha Devi in the city. Mother Belha Devi Dham can be renamed next to Pratapgarh Junction with the objective of preserving historicality. Similarly, efforts are being made to connect Antu, Vishwanathganj and Prithviganj stations with local beliefs with their original nature.
