New Delhi: The Narcotics Bureau (NCB) has run a massive campaign across the country in the last few days to curb the illegal business of narcotics. During this campaign, the NCB has uncovered new smuggling networks in Bengaluru and Mumbai. On the specific information received on 21 August, the Bangalore unit of NCB caught a big stock of drugs.
The price of this consignment of drugs seized by the NCB's Bangalore unit is being reported in the market at about 2,20,500. The NCB seized these drugs while raiding the Royal Suites Hotel apartment in Kalyan Nagar, Bangalore. After this, in another action, the NCB team seized 96 pills of narcotic drugs from Nikku Homes in Bangalore. During the action taken on the basis of another input, a female drug supplier and the mastermind of the case was arrested and 270 drugs (MDMA) were recovered from him. The NCB has recovered these drugs during a raid at his house in Dodagubi, Bangalore.
During the raids, the NCB has given M. Anoop, R.K. Ravindran and Anikha D are arrested. Initial investigations have revealed that they supply drugs to all sections of society including musicians, actors as well as college students. Bangalore's NCB unit says that there are chances of arresting some more people in this case.
