Lucknow: All India Akhara Parishad president Mahant Narendra Giri died under suspicious circumstances yesterday (September 20) and his body was found hanging from the room of Baghambari Math in Prayagraj, UP. The suicide note found near the body contained the names of several persons including disciple Anand Giri. On Monday, sant samaj was shocked by the death of Akhara Parishad President Mahant Narendra Giri under suspicious circumstances. The room where Narendra Giri's body was found in Baghambari Monastery in Prayagraj was locked from inside.

Talking about the entire incident related to the death of Narendra Giri, his disciple Nirbhay Dwivedi explained what had happened on Monday. According to Nirbhay Dwivedi, 'His daily routine was like drinking tea at 5 a.m., coming down by 7 a.m. We all used to get up till 7.30 a.m., I bowed to Maharaj Ji at 8 a.m. and went to the temple.'

Further, Nirbhay Dwivedi said that when I returned in the evening, it was found that Maharaj Ji had dinner with everyone, after eating at 12 o'clock, he went upstairs. He stayed in his room for about half an hour and later came down again. Disciple Nirbhay Dwivedi said that he came down and went to rest in the adjoining room, Mahant Narendra Giri had said that if someone was coming to see me, I would stay here. Mahant Ji told everyone that no one to disturb today.
