New Delhi: A new immunization record has been set under the BJP-run Corona mega vaccination programme on the occasion of PM Narendra Modi's birthday. Today, the number of vaccinations across the country has crossed 1 crore by 1.30 pm on September 17. The BJP had already announced to celebrate the day as 'Seva Diwas' on the occasion of Prime Minister Modi's birthday. The party had said that a special function of mega vaccination will be held across the country on this day.

The BJP has created an army of more than 6 lakh volunteers who are helping the people to join the vaccine drive for this mega vaccination across the country. These volunteers are helping individuals to reach the immunization line and get them vaccinated conveniently. It is said to be the world's largest volunteers programme. According to reports, the BJP aims to get 1.5 crore vaccinations done in a day.

Let me tell you that the BJP has been celebrating Prime Minister Modi's birthday as 'Seva Diwas' since 2014. However, this time the party has chalked out a plan to get record vaccination done on this day which seems to be succeeding. According to the Cowin app, 1,00,71,776 people have been vaccinated by 1.30 pm, the largest data for a day's vaccine. Since 2014, every year, the party celebrated service day for a week, but this time the time has been increased to 20 days. However, this time in view of Modi's 20 years of public life, the party has extended the outreach programme by 20 days.
