A globalized study named ‘World Leaders on Facebook’ has said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the most popular ‘liked’ world leader on Facebook, much ahead of US President Donald Trump. He comes to maximum interest rate & the total number of interactions on Facebook. A most popular political icon is also influencing in Facebook with vast liked on his own official Facebook account handling. That dignifies the stateliness embellishment of Narendra Modi.


The globally reputed study conducted by Burson Cohn and Wolfe was first shared by the Twitter handle @Twiplomacy, which publishes instances of Digital Diplomacy among world leaders and later also by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s official handle. 

 

 

Had 43.2 million likes, Modi is almost double of USA President Donald Trump & competed with maximum likes hited on facebook, who has 23.1 Million likes on Facebook. This is regarding Modi’s personal page on Facebook. The other leaders on the list are Queen Raina of Jordan, President Recap Erdogan of Turkey, President Joko Widodo of Indonesia, President Abdel el-Sisi of Egypt and Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau. When it comes to the interaction rate and the total number of interactions, PM Modi clocked second behind President Trump but comfortably ahead of third-placed Widodo and other leaders on the list. 

The top five photos on Facebook shared by world leaders are all of Modi’s. The most popular photo shared by a world leader on Facebook in 2017 was PM Modi’s photo at Odisha’s Lingaraj Temple. Along with the photo, PM Modi wrote that Prayed at the Lingaraj Temple in Bhubaneswar.

 

 

The grandeur of the Temple and Temple Complex leaves a lasting impression on the mind. Among videos, the third most popular Facebook live video featured was a video shared by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu from PM Modi’s Israel visit in July 2017.

 

 

Both PM Modi and Netanyahu are seen along the seashore. With walk-talk protocol, the Gal-mobile vehicle in that video put on Facebook. 

 

 

Along with Prime Minister Modi’s personal page, the official Facebook page of the Prime Minister’s office also figures 4th in the overall list of most liked Facebook pages while PM Modi’s personal page is first. The PMO of Modi was also the 4th most checked-in destination, after the White House, the Ugandan Presidency and 10, Downing Street. In the list of ‘Peer Connection of World Leaders’, which counts the pages of world leaders liked by their peers, Modi came 10th but none of the 9 pages ahead of him were the personal pages of any world leader, but they are the pages of their offices. Topping the list is the White House and other names include the US State Department, European Commission, and UK’s foreign office.
