Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday began the campaign involving the establishment of 10,000 new agricultural producer organizations (FPOs) over the next 5 years. While addressing an event organized to mark the first anniversary of the launch of Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi in Chitrakoot, Uttar Pradesh, Prime Minister Modi said that a new FPO will be set up with the goal of increasing and empowering farmers' income. This will help farmers in the production and marketing of crops along with their marketing.

KCC also to the beneficiaries of PM-Kisan
Prime Minister Modi announced that Rs 5,000 crore could be spent on this item in the next 5 years. Modi also gave Kisan-Credit Card (KCC) to ten beneficiaries of PM Kisan. Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar informed reporters that KCC was distributed to farmers in 28,000 branches of banks across the country on Saturday as part of a special campaign to provide KCC facility to all beneficiaries of PM-Kisan. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Governor Anandiben Patel also participated in the program.

The PM Kisan scheme was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh on 24 February last year. Under this scheme, the central government has so far sent Rs 50,850 crore to the bank accounts of farmers. Under this scheme, the central government transfers a total of Rs 6,000 in three equal installments to the bank account of the beneficiary farmers.
