New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi took the oath of office and secrecy in a grand swearing-in ceremony at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi on Thursday evening. Along with PM Modi, the Union Council of Ministers also took the oath, which was administered by President Ram Nath Kovind. 

After PM Modi, BJP MP from Lucknow, who was Home Minister in the previous government, Rajnath Singh took oath of office and oath of secrecy. It is clear, therefore, that his position in the Modi government will be his second number. Amit Shah sworn in as the cabinet minister at number three in the government.

Nitin Gadkari took oath as the fourth minister in the government After this Sadanand Gowda took oath in English. Earlier, the PM and three other ministers took oath in Hindi. In the previous government, Nirmala Sitharaman, Minister of Defense, LJP president Ram Vilas Paswan, Narendra Singh Tomar, and Ravi Shankar Prasad, who won from Patna Sahib also took oath as the minister.

Devashree Chaudhary takes oath as minister.Rameshwar Telli and Pratap Chandra Sarangi take oath as minister on Thursday.First time minister Renuka Singh takes oath as minister.

BJP Bihar chief Nityanand Rai takes oath. He defeated RSLP chef Upendra Kushwaha in Lok Sabha elections 2019.

Ratanlal Kattaria, Bharatiya Janata Party leader from Haryana also took oath.
