Narendra Modi, Vladimir Putin discuss bilateral ties

NEW DELHI : India Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday, July 1, discussed and reviewed the implementation of the decisions taken during Putin's visit to India in December last year, an official statement said.

The two presidents specifically discussed ways to promote bilateral trade in agricultural products, fertilisers, and pharmaceuticals during their phone call, the statement said.

Putin and Modi also spoke about international energy and food markets and other global challenges.
The Prime Minister reaffirmed India's long-standing support for dialogue and diplomacy in relation to the current state of affairs in Ukraine.  According to the statement, the leaders agreed to continue their regular discussions of international and bilateral matters.
