New Delhi: Entire India is bowing to Bharat Ratna Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya, founder of Kashi Hindu University (BHU), the capital of Sarva Vidya, on his 160th birth anniversary today. PM Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath tweeted remembering him on his birth anniversary. CM Yogi has also bowed to Mahamana on the Indian app Koo.

In a tweet, PM Narendra Modi said, "Greetings to great freedom fighter, educationist and social reformer Mahamana Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya Ji on his birth anniversary. In a tweet, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath wrote, "Great freedom fighter, outstanding educationist, founder of Kashi Hindu University, a vibrant conductor of Indian culture, 'Bharat Ratna' Mahamana Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya Ji on his birth anniversary. The personality and sacrificial life of 'Mahamana' will always inspire us.''

Madan Mohan Malaviyaji has been instrumental in the field of education. He laid the foundation stone of Kashi Hindu University (BHU). He had vowed to build a university that would teach us about the technological progress being made in the country and the world, keeping in mind the ancient Indian traditions. Kashi Hindu University came into existence in 1916. It was Mahatma Gandhi who conferred the title of Mahamana on Madan Mohan Malaviya at that time.
