Recently, State Home Minister Narottam Mishra said, "The insult to the Constitution of India framed by Babasaheb Ambedkar will not be tolerated in any case. The Congress MLA has violated the limits by threatening to burn the constitution book in the assembly. After which the authorities have been directed to take action against them. The Congress MLA will be booked under the Prevention of Insults to The Nation Act.'' State Home Minister Narottam Mishra is said to have directed the state DG for the same.

Babulal Jandel, a Congress MLA from Sheopur district, had talked about raising the problem of farmers affected by the rains in the Assembly. In the meantime, he had said, "If the Chief Minister does not show seriousness in the compensation of the farmers, he will burn the law book and throw it in the chief minister's eyes. Not only that, but the MLA had also threatened to burn the constitution book inside the Assembly.''
