The discovery shows that black hole with powerful jets may be more common than previously thought in the first few billion years after the big bang, researchers said

A supermassive black hole being illuminated by the oldest light in the universe the NASA astronomers discovered by using NASA’s Chandra X-ray. When the universe was only 2.7 billion years the light detected from the jet emitted, a fifth of its present age.

B3 0727+409 approximately 300,000 lights years the length of the jet found.

Many long jet emitted by super massive black hole have been detected in the near by universe, but exactly how these jets give off X-ray has remained a matter of debate.
