44 Indian tourists stranded for the last four days reached India late on Friday night. These tourists were stranded in Belahia, Nepal due to the Indo-Nepal border being sealed. All the tourists have been accommodated in the guest house at Sonauli.

According to the media report, on Saturday, the District Magistrate of Maharajganj, Dr. Ujjwal Kumar and SP Rohit Singh Sajwan met these tourists. He instructed the local authorities to not cause any inconvenience. The District Magistrate held a telephonic conversation with the CDO Mahadev Pant, equivalent officer of Rupandehi district of Nepal, after getting information about the tourists being stranded. On the instructions of the District Magistrate, SDM Nautanwan Jasdhir Singh and CO Raju Kumar Saw reached Belhia and got everyone to enter India from Sonoli border. These include 32 tourists from Tamil Nadu, one each from Manipur, Madhya Pradesh, one from Basti in Uttar Pradesh, five from Allahabad and two each from Varanasi, Gorakhpur.
