Minister Hemant Biswa has given a big statement about the job in the state government. This statement has given strength to the hopes of unemployed youth. Let us tell you that Assam Education Minister Hemant Biswa Sarma said that only those who have studied Assamese till 10th will be eligible to apply for the state government job. The Education Minister told reporters that this rule will be applicable in all the areas except the three districts of Barak Valley and Bodoland Territorial Autonomous District (BTAD). The same clause will apply in respect of Bangla and Bodo in the three districts of BT Barak Valley and BTAD respectively.

Apart from this, Sharma said that the state cabinet has decided to make Assamese a compulsory subject in all medium schools. The bill will be introduced in the Legislative Assembly during the budget session incorporating this new rule.

In his address, he further said that his two children studying outside the state will not be eligible to apply for a state government job in Assam. The reason for this is that they are not studying Assamese in their school. He said that the state government will spend 3000 crores on primary, secondary and higher secondary education.

Hopes of lasting peace in Assam have been reeling under violence for decades. Four groups of the National Democratic Federation of Bodoland (NDFB), demanding a separate Bodoland, have decided to leave the path of violence. In this connection, representatives of these organizations and Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonewal will sign the agreement in the presence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday. Accordingly, according to highly placed sources, the demand of separate Bodoland state has not been considered in the agreement, but some more political rights and economic packages can be given to Bodos.
