BJP state secretary AK Nazir BJP Kerala state secretary AK Nazeer has been allegedly attacked in a mosque at Nedungandam in Idukki district. According to a media report, he arrived at the mosque shortly after taking part in an event organized on the revised citizenship law CAA (citizenship amendment bill 2019).

BJP has accused the activists of the Social Democratic Party of India, SDPI, and supporters of the CPI-M Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI). The police say that the incident happened inside the mosque, it is not clear who carried out the attack. The report said that Nazir, who arrived at the Thukkupalam Jumah Masjid, to offer prayers after attending a program called Jan Jagriti Sammelan, prevented Nazir from entering inside. At present, the Imam has given him permission to recite Namaz. BJP has said that while reading Namaz, Nazir was beaten with a chair and kicked.
