Earlier the World Championship silver medalist Sonia Chahal (57 kg) and India Open champion Bhagyavati (81 kg), Railways topped the fourth Elite Women's National Boxing Championships by winning 6 gold medals. Haryana at 2nd and All India Police stood at 3rd. Sonia won the second gold medal by defeating young world champion Haryana's Sakshi with 3-2.
If sources are to be believed, Bhagyavati defeated Shaily Singh with 5-0. Jyoti (51 kg) defeated Haryana's Ritu Grewal with 5-0, Monica (48 kg) beat Bina Devi of police with 5-0, Pwilao Basumati (64 kg) defeated Ankushita Boro and Pavitra (60 kg) defeated Sakshi Chopra with 3-2.

It has been noticed that Kavita Chahal (plus 81 kg) of the police won the gold medal by defeating Anupama of Haryana with 5-0 and Meena Kumari (54 kg) defeated Meenakshi with 4-1. Haryana won the only gold by Nupur (75 kg) defeating Indraja of Kerala with 4–1. Lalita of Rajasthan (69 kg) won the gold medal by defeating Meena Rani of Railways with 5-0.
