National capital suffering from cold wave, 25 trains delayed

As cold wave increased in the Delhi on Friday, near about 25 train get delayed, two rescheduled and 12 get cancelled due to low visibility.The fog was also found in parts of Delhi today.The passengers have been informed to check the train status of the train before undertaking their journey.The status of these trains will also be broadcast to the passengers on their respective registered mobile numbers.The fog makes the visibility very low and trains have to run at a highly-restricted speed to ensure the safety of the passengers which leads to considerable delays in the movement of trains.The status of these trains will be observed periodically keeping in view the strength of fog and decisions to restore some of the trains may be taken, as and when operationally feasible. The India Meteorological Department report says that the minimum temperature in Delhi to be 8 degrees Celsius and maximum temperature of 18 degrees Celsius.The national capital Delhi had been experiencing chilling cold since the past few days.People took the safety at night shelters in Delhi on Thursday and light fire to keep themselves warm.

Earlier on December 13, at least 13 trains were delayed, 10 cancelled and one rescheduled due to foggy weather and low visibility in the national capital.Delhi was suffering from fog early every morning but today due to much fog in the atmosphere low visibility was there that created several problems since from the morning.To manage the train dealing, the Ministry of Railways on November 29 declared the detailed plan for cancellation and time reduction of trains travel through the fog affected areas.
