National Commission for Women launches dairy farming training, aims to make women 'self-reliant'

New Delhi: The National Commission for Women (NCW) has launched dairy farming training across the country to make rural women economically independent and self-reliant in the country. For this, the Commission will find women in collaboration with agriculture institutions across the country and train them.

Under the project, a programme called "Value Added Dairy Farming" was also organized at Lala Lajpat Rai University of Veterinary and Animal Science, Hisar, Haryana for women of Self Help Group. Commission Chairman Rekha Sharma said that women have participation in every dairy farming in rural areas. Even after all this, they have not yet been able to get economic freedom. The National Commission for Women will train women like these in every detail of dairy farming as well as help them to make them economically independent and recognized in society.

She said the National Commission for Women will not only be successful in promoting farming training but also technology, business and entrepreneurship. This training will instill confidence in women as well as promote dairy farming by women in rural areas.
