Srinagar: On Monday, with the Bharatiya Janata Party releasing their poll manifesto for Lok Sabha Elections 2019, promising the abrogation of Article 370 and Article 35A - giving special provisions to Jammu and Kashmir - National Conference chief Farooq Abdullah lambasted the Centre-ruled party, challenging them to try to implement their manifestos in relation with Kashmir. Abdullah made it clear that under no possibility BJP would be able to implement their plan on Article 370 and imposed forcibly, then prepared for the consequences.

Reacting on the poll manifesto of BJP - where the saffron party promised to abolish Article 370 and Article 35A, and make all efforts to ensure the safe return of Kashmiri Pandits - Abdullah said in Srinagar, "Ye (BJP) kya usko (Article 370 and Article 35A) mitana chahte hai..samajhte hai kya bahar se layenge, basayenge...humara number kam kar denge? Hum kya sote rahenge? Hum iska muqabala karenge Insaah Allah. Hum iske khilaaf khade ho jaayenge. (Does BJP want to abolish Article 370? Do they think that they will bring people (Kashmiri Pandits) from outside and settle them here? Do they think we will not respond and sleep? We will fight against it Insha Allah)."

The NC chief added, "370 ko kaise khathm karoge? Are karoge to allah kidhar rahega? Allah Ki kasam kehta hun allah ko yehi manzoor hoga hum isse azad ho jaayenge. Karen.. hum bhi dekhte hai. Mai bhi dekhta hun kaun inka jhanda khada karne ke liye taiyaar hoga. Main bhi dekhta hun...aap bhi dekhna. Isiliye wo cheezen mat karon jisse tum humare dilon ko todne ki kosish kar rahe ho. (How will you abolish it? Where will Allah stay? I swear by Allah's name that even want we get freedom from this. Let them do it. We will see. I will also see who will stand to hold their flag? I will see, and you will see. Therefore, don't do such things which break our hearts)."
