Jammu: National President of National Conference (NC) and former CM of Jammu and Kashmir Farooq Abdullah reached Jammu from Srinagar on Friday. During this time Abdullah participated in a large program of his party. While addressing his party workers in Jammu for the first time in more than a year, Abdullah said, "I will not die till the constitutional rights of the people of the erstwhile state are restored".

Former CM Farooq Abdullah accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of misleading the country and making false promises to the people of Ladakh with Jammu and Kashmir. Addressing NC workers at Sher-e-Kashmir Bhavan ahead of the meeting of the People Alliance for Gupkar Declaration, PAGD on Saturday, Abdullah said, 'I will not die until I take back the rights of my people, I am here to do the work of the people, and the day I finish my work, I will leave this world. '

The former CM also said in his address that he is not going to die till the old status of Jammu and Kashmir is restored. This was the first political meeting of Abdullah in Jammu since most of the provisions of Article 370 of the Constitution giving special status to Jammu and Kashmir were repealed.
