Srinagar: The National Conference (NC) party held a press conference on Saturday over an all-party meeting with PM Narendra Modi. Talking to reporters after the meeting of Kashmir leaders, Farooq Abdullah and his son Omar Abdullah said that the meeting had been good. But, at the same time, they have opposed the removal of Section 370.

According to media reports, NC president and former CM Farooq Abdullah said during the PC that the meeting with PM Narendra Modi was good. The parties put their issues before them. This was the first step on his part as to how we can build better conditions in Jammu and Kashmir and start a political process. On the other hand, NC leader and former CM Omar Abdullah said that not only Mehbooba Mufti but Farooq Saheb also said that it took 70 years for the BJP to succeed in its agenda of scrapping Section 370. He said, 'We will not back down from our mission'.

He gave a blunt reply to the Central Government on the issue of Section 370, saying that even 'If it takes us 70 weeks or 70 months or more, we are not going to back down. PM Modi's all party meeting was not called as an alliance. If that were the case, only one person from the alliance would have been invited. We did not say anything in the meeting that is beyond the agenda of the secret alliance'.
