Lucknow: The Samajwadi Party (SP) is facing one electoral defeat after another in Uttar Pradesh politics. On the other hand, many allies have left them. The 2024 Lok Sabha elections are around the corner, due to which the SP is trying to regain its lost political support base. The SP is holding a two-day convention in UP's capital Lucknow from Wednesday, in which a new political strategy will be made for 2024.
In order to create a Dalit equation with backwards and minorities, the conference will brainstorm deeply on the issue related to them. The two-day SP convention is being held at Ramabai Ambedkar Maidan in Lucknow. The UP SP president will be elected at the state convention on Wednesday, while the party's national president will be elected during the national convention on Thursday. Also, in two days, the outline of the strategy with which the SP will proceed in the future will be prepared. Along with this, economic, social and political resolutions will also be passed.
The SP will chalk out a strategy for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections during the two-day convention. Resolutions will be passed for how and on what issues the SP will enter the electoral battle. The SP is likely to pass a resolution at the conference to aggressively raise the issue of conducting a caste census in UP and implementing reservation recommendations in UP. It is being told that sp can also pass a resolution against the government's action against the leaders. Especially the SP has raised its voice within the Assembly about the action taken on leaders like MLA Azam Khan, so the Governor has also been requested.
